Led by Double Bassist Peter Komor and Alto Saxophonist Jack Perry-Cockings, Soaphouse Social Club features a wide array of exciting, young and emerging musicians from the British Jazz scene, including Drummer Rod Oughton (Ok Aurora, Tomorrow’s New Quartet), Freddie Willets on Guitar (Echappée), Pianist Ayo Vincent, Dan Smith on Tenor Saxophone (Howl Quartet, Echappée), Trumpet player Teddy Smith (The Teddy Smith Big Band) and Trombone players Jacob Cooper/Joe Bradford. Soaphouse Social Club seamlessly bridges the gap between traditional and modern jazz and have had the pleasure to showcase featured performances with talented singers; Lydia Bell, Louise Balkwill, Hannah Grace and Inês Loubet.
The band is named after the location of Pete's House boat, a place that has been the hub of an abundance of creative music making for various projects.
